The Pine Tree High School golf team, paced by overall medalist Brandon Sledge, won its second tournament of the season on Tuesday at the Lindale Invitational.  Sledge and Hallsville’s Nathan Weant toured the Garden Valley course with 75s, Sledge winning on a scorecard playoff.

The Pirates finished with a 316 as a team, followed by Hallsville (332), Grace (337) and Spring Hill (339).  Bryce Alley, coming off a standout performance two weekends ago in Pine Tree’s Twisted 54 Tournament when he closed with a 71 for the lone round under-par, had a 79 on Tuesday. Blake Dickerson and Luke Durden finished at 81, and Trey Woodward rounded out the scoring for the Pirates with a 91.

William Wilder of Henderson, Allen of Pine Tree and William Estes of Grace also received accolades — Wilder taking third-place on a scorecard playoff.  Pine Tree will participate in the Henderson Invitational on Tuesday at Pine Dunes in Frankston.
